Why this site?

I began wood turning and selling woodworking products in craft shows in 2007. I started a website and have had an Etsy site since 2008 and over the last couple of years have put my hobbies aside because of other things that have been going on in life.

I have done woodworking since I was a teenager, but really got into the high quality and turning side of it after a bad ankle break that had me out of work for 6 months. Once I figured out how and got better, I was accepted as a member of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi where I am currently a Fellow member.

In 2012, after I had my ankle fused to get rid of the arthritic pain, I found an old Blacksmith set-up in a closet at me farm and started creating forged knives. I have been doing that pretty consistently for the last 6 years or so, but plan to begin to try to create one of a kind knives and try to market them and not just give them away to friends.

A few years ago, I missed renewing this domain and when I went back to claim it the person that had bought it wanted over $500 for it back. I checked several times and it has always been the same. New Year’s day this year I got on and just checked and … BOOM, there it was open and for only $12. I took that as sign that I needed to try once again to set up a site and to begin taking my crafts more seriously.
